Funding Strategy Statement.

This is the Funding Strategy Statement for the Dorset County Pension Fund (the Fund). It has been prepared with the support of the Fund Actuary, Barnett Waddingham LLP in accordance with Regulation 58 of the Local Government Pension Scheme Regulations 2013 as amended (the Regulations) and describes Dorset Council’s funding strategy, in its capacity as administering authority, for the Dorset County Pension Fund.

This statement should be read in conjunction with the Fund’s Investment Strategy Statement (ISS) and has been prepared with regard to the guidance (Guidance for preparing and maintaining a Funding Strategy Statement (FSS) January 2025) jointly produced by the Local Government Pension Scheme Advisory Board (SAB), the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) and the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG).
